WELCOME TO OUR CATTERY

We use two separate spaces for our cattery.  We converted a two car garage to a very nice space for our males.  We removed the garage door and built a wall with a window and an entry door.  The tile covers the floor and four feet up the walls.  We have built 3 separate cages for our males.  To keep our cats comfortable we have it heated in the winter and cooled in the summer.   They also enjoy listening to the radio.

Our second space is in our home.  ALL of our kittens are born in our bedroom.  After they are born they are placed in a kitty bed between Jeff and myself.  Yes they are in our bed!!!  Our mothers love and trust us soooo much they keep them there.  If we try to move them the moms just bring them right back.  The kittens are handled from the moment they are born.  When they are between three to four weeks old they are moved to the kitten room where they learn to use the litter box.  We use our guest bedroom as a kitten room.  The kittens sleep on a soft heated blanket.  To make sure the rooms stays warm enough in the cold months we have added an electric heater.   The kittens stay in this nice bright room until they are around six to seven weeks old then they are moved to the living room where they are allowed to roam around with the other cats.
